Carol Christian Poell Compass Earring

Carol Christian Poell has a long list of wacky & peculiar jewelry design ideas, some of which being creepy sinister eyeball rings, earrings made out of teeth & even necklace pendants. Always aiming to incorporate a sense of griminess &  yet eccentric elements to the design philosophy. 

This metallic silver earring  features many contrasting elements, with a brushed silver exterior & a vintage styled compass at the interior. The compass posing as a contrasting element of design, along with the butterfly clips at the back. Somewhat large in diameter the earring is also oddly deformed & shaped further juxtaposing the theory behind carols design.
