Dirk Bikkembergs Boots Metal Lace Through Heel in Black
The Dirk Bikkembergs metal lace-through heel boots are amongst his most popular boots that were iterated. It features Dirks classic aspects, such as an intricate lacing system, tall black leather shaft, leather laces & most of all a metal platform heel. Introduced in the late 90s the lace-through heels saw multiple variations deriving from this initial silhouette.
This particular pair has aged quite uniquely, the boots have taken the shape of the wearer's foot & the laces pattern has been imprinted into the boots leaving a wavy pattern on them. Along with thick rounded black lace which has distressed over time revealing the brown color underneath makes this particular pair truly stunning. This pair has been freshly hydrated & polished for a clean look. The back of the boot features a hidden slit to slip the laces through which helps hold the lace in place above the ankle. This allows for endless ways of wrapping the boot either through the heels, under the boot, around the ankle, or through all of them as shown in the image.
