Takahiro Miyashita's Autumn/Winter 2006 "NⒶIR" collection for Number (N)ine

The AW/06 collection was Miyashita's focus on tailoring of garments, a step away from his predeceasing collection which were heavily focused on street aesthetic & cultural references. The "NⒶIR"  collection shifted focus & was an all black collection seeing many detailed garments, such as hybrid leather & wool jackets with superior construction & an emphasis on how the garments were cut & sown. Each garment was meticulously tailored down to the last detail, subtle details such as quilted four leaf clover patches on elbows, asymmetrical zippers, embroidered flowers around buttons & the list goes on. 

Easily considered by many one of Miyashita's most critically acclaimed collections, veering from his usual art direction this collection struck the industry by storm.
